House Account vol #4 β Tuesdays at the Tavern
As many of our neighbors head out of town, we've put together a series of Tuesday evenings for those of us who are aroundβgood food and company, and a few of the traditions that make the New York area special.

While many of our neighbors are away at this time of year, it's been great to see our community come together at Wainwright's Tavern for the World Cup matches. I was disappointed to see the U.S. bow out on Monday, but after spending so many wonderful years with Le Pain Quotidien, I'll be pulling for Belgium against Spain today.
We're down to the quarterfinals, and Wainwright's will be airing every match. We're opening our bar early today at 4pm and tomorrow at 3pm so you won't miss a minute.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our barbecue and the U.S. victory over Bosniaβit was a great night at Wainwright's Tavern. If you're looking for a place to catch the tournament, we'd love to have you.
Tomorrow, July 4, join us for brunch and watch Canada vs. Morocco at 1:00 p.m.
Then on Monday, July 6, we're hosting as the United States takes on Belgium at 8:00 p.m. Having spent so many years at Le Pain Quotidien, Belgium has a special place in my heart, but nothing would make me happier than a U.S. victory.

House Account vol #1 β Brunch
We are opening for brunch at Wainwright's Tavern, and I'd love to have you join us for our Friends & Family preview next Saturday, June 13th! To celebrate the rollout, we're also hosting Nicola Krausβauthor of The Nanny Diariesβfor a reading and Q&A led by New York Times contributor Alix Strauss. I'm hoping this will be the first installment of a stimulating speaker series.
This is a "peek behind the curtain" to help us launch brunch. With that in mind, brunch is on us (we just ask that you cover your drinks).
Brunch will be from 11am to 1pm and the reading, Q&A and book signing will start at 1pm, along with a complimentary toast. Please make a reservation using the link below.
Best, Jay
